SEASON STARTS Tuesday, MAY 5th! (If this changes, an email will be sent out)

Registration opens Feb. 1st and all players, coaches, and support personnel will need to complete a registration on our website as part of the SSA requirements. www.melfortyouthsoccer.ca
We are offering our regular house league as well as a travel team this year!
Everyone will play at the Spruce Haven soccer pitches, on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
Season will run from May 5th - June 25th. With Soccer Fest being on Saturday, June 27th! Please mark your calender! More details on this will be sent out once league starts! If you are interested in being on the committee to plan this event, please let Lisa know! It takes a lot of time to plan this event, so if we don’t have help, the event can’t run!
U5 (born in 2021, 2022, 2023) - 5:30-6:00 pm
U7 (born in 2019 or 2020) - 6:00-6:45 pm
U9 (born in 2017 or 2018) - 5:45-6:45 pm
U11 (born in 2015 or 2016) - 6:15-7:15 pm
U13 (born in 2013 or 2014) - 6:45-7:45 pm
U15 (born in 2011 or 2012) - 7:15 - 8:15 pm
The fee for each group is $100.00. All payments can be sent to melfortyouthsoccer@gmail.com. If you are requesting Kidsport or Jumpstart, please indicate that on the registration form. Fees are due April 17th without a $50.00 penalty.
Registration closes March 31st! Then there will be a late fee of $50.
We will be offering all the above age groups. However, number of registrations will determine if that team is able to continue this season.
We do require coaches and helpers for each group to help make the practices run efficiently. This year we have decided to waive the registration fee for your child if you are a dedicated coach/helper and have the necessary coaching requirements. MYSA will reimburse you for your online course fees. Also, if you have a teenager, who knows a bit about soccer and wants to earn a bit of money, we are offering an honorarium for kids who are willing to be dedicated to helping a team.
Without enough volunteers, some age groups may not be able to run! If you are interested in helping out, please let us know! A criminal record check and Respect in Sport are required!
This season, we are in the process of rebranding; therefore, we will NOT be handing out Jerseys, etc, with the exception of U5, which Timbits sponsors.
Please make sure your child comes with shoes/cleats, shin pads, a water bottle and a soccer ball (if required - see below for certain age groups. Please label your things. For ages U7 and higher, shin pads with socks overtop are mandatory! If you do not have any, the coach WILL ask you to sit on the sidelines for your safety.
Balls (please have the correct size ball for your child, as this is very important for skill development)
Canadian Tire does have balls and socks in stock. If for some reason there isn’t any on the shelf, they said to please let them know, as they should have stock in the back or they will order more!
*U5 - Melfort Youth Soccer Association will be purchasing club balls for this age group, so there is NO need to bring a ball to practice!

U13+ - Size 5
Games This Year
We are offering a mini travel team this year for age groups U7, U9, U11, U13, and U15. These games will be likely on a Monday or Wednesday in June. If you sign up to be on this team, you are expected to be at all games and participate in practices and be wanting to participate! There are limited spots on each team and coaches will inform everyone who is on the team by May 1st!
Please note not everyone who registers will necessarily “make” the team.
To join this team, we are charging an additional $50 per child and you can register on the website. This payment is not due until your coach confirms the teams.
Additional information and dates will be available once games have been scheduled. There will be no late registrations available for these teams.
Team Linkt
This year we will be using Team Linkt to communicate with families. Please find the code when you register your child and connect via the app!

*Practices will be A GO this year rain or shine. The only way it will be cancelled (due to weather) is if its thundering or lightning.
