Registration is now open and all players, coaches, and support personnel will need to complete a registration on our website as part of the SSA requirements. www.melfortyouthsoccer.ca
We are offering our regular house league as well as a mini travel team this year!
Everyone will play at the Spruce Haven soccer pitches, on Monday and Wednesday!
Season will run from May 5th - June 25th. With Soccer Fest being on Saturday, June 28st! Please mark your calender! More details on this will be sent out once league starts! If you are interested in being on the committee to plan this event, please let Lisa know! It takes a lot of time to plan this event, so many hands are always helpful!
U5 (born in 2020, 2021, 2022)- 5:45-6:15 pm
U7 (born in 2018 or 2019) - 5:45-6:30 pm
U9 (born in 2016 or 2017) - 5:45-6:45 pm
U11 (born in 2014 or 2015) - 6:45-7:45 pm
U13 (born in 2012 or 2013) - 6:45-7:45 pm
U15 (born in 2010 or 2011) - This depends on number of registrations and coach availability. These practices are slated for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7pm, but is subject to change!
The fee for each group is $125.00. All payments can be sent to melfortyouthsoccer@gmail.com. If you are requesting Kidsport or Jumpstart, please indicate that on the registration form. Fees are due March 28th without a $50.00 penalty.
Registration closes March 28th! Then there will be a late fee of $50.
We will be offering all the above age groups. However, number of registrations will determine if that team is able to continue this season.
We do require coaches and helpers for each group to help make the practices run efficiently. This year we have decided to waive the registration fee for your child if you are a dedicated coach/helper and have the necessary coaching requirements. MYSA will reimburse you for your online course fees. Also, if you have a teenager, who knows a bit about soccer and wants to earn a bit of money, we are offering an honorarium for kids who are willing to be dedicated to helping a team.
Without enough volunteers, some age groups may not be able to run! If you are interested in helping out, please let us know! A criminal record check and Respect in Sport are required!
This season we will be handing out Jerseys, shorts and socks to everyone registered by Mar 28th. They will be handed out to families, hopefully at the first couple practices.
Please make sure your child comes with shoes/cleats, shin pads, a water bottle and a soccer ball (if required - see below for certain age groups. Please label your things. For ages U7 and higher, shin pads are mandatory! If you do not have any, the coach may ask you to sit on the sidelines for your safety.
Balls (please have the correct size ball for your child, as this is very important for skill developement)
Canadian Tire does have balls and socks in stock. If for some reason there isn’t any on the shelf, they said to please let them know, as they should have stock in the back or they will order more!
*U5 - Melfort Youth Soccer Association will be purchasing club balls for this age group, so there is NO need to bring a ball to practice!

U13+ - Size 5
Games This Year
We are offering a mini travel team this year for age groups U7, U9, U11, and U13. These games will be likely on a Tuesday or a Thursday in June. If you sign up to be on this team, you are expected to be at all games and participate in practices. To join this team, we are charging an additional $50 per child and you can register on the website. Additional information and dates will be available once games have been scheduled. There will be no late registrations available for these teams.
Team Linkt
This year we will be using Team Linkt to communicate with families. Once registration is complete, we will email a link with a code for you to accept for this season!

*Practices will be A GO this year rain or shine. The only way it will be cancelled (due to weather) is if its thundering or lightning.
