The first night of any sport or activity can be stressful for both participant and parents. The uncertainty of what to expect can be an extra hurdle to navigate. We at MYSA, would like to make this experience a little more enjoyable by sharing the first night's agenda:
All Players try to be 5 to 10 minutes early. The first night is very hectic for everyone and to reduce some of the chaos it will be greatly appreciated if everyone is early.
Remember: Spring doesn't always have the nicest weather especially in the evening. It always seems to be a few degrees cooler on the fields. Players & Parents/Guardians please dress warm to ensure you enjoy the night.
All Players MUST HAVE, shin guards: that are worn under long soccer socks, covering the entire shin guard. The shin guards can also be covered by pants. Shin guards must be completely covered. It is Recommended that players have the following; Water Bottle, Soccer Ball (We are providing team soccer balls for all U5 & U7 players to use during practice). Please do not bring a ball on the first night. Proper Footwear: soccer cleats are the best, especially on a wet field. A running shoe is second best.
ALL PLAYERS will meet at their fields according to time & age group: (There is a sign laying out the fields and age groups)
Mondays and Wednesdays!
U5 AGE GROUP: 5:45-6:15pm
U7 AGE GROUP: 5:45-6:30pm
U9 AGE GROUP: 5:45-6:45pm
U11 AGE GROUP: 6:45-7:45pm
U13 AGE GROUP: 6:45-7:45pm
U15+ AGE GROUP: Tues and Thurs 6-7pm
The LEAD COACH will blow a whistle to call the kids to start! Kids will be divided into smaller groups for better instruction.
We are hoping our jerseys and kits will arrive this week and be ready to hand out next week! There will be a table set up, so please come once practice starts and grab your childs kit for them!
Please remember we will practice rain or shine. Only exception is if its thundering or lightening. At that point we cancel!
